Welcome to Make and Create Arts
Start your creative journey with us, we are dedicated to fostering artistic expression and nurturing a love for creativity in every individual.
Our programmes strive to inspire, educate, and empower through the arts.

Our Creative Story

Since 2012 we have been delivering a range of creative classes and opportunities for children and young people in our community.
We started out with one weekly Arts & Crafts class and over the years we have bloomed into a vibrant hub of creativity, offering children and young people the chance to explore the arts, make friends, build confidence and learn new skills.
We believe that the arts are for everyone and we love sharing our passion for the arts with you.
In 2021 we became a registered charity and we continue to deliver a wide range of weekly creative classes, holiday activities and workshops in our community and you might even have seen us delivering our 'Positive Creations' project in your school.
Find out more about the classes on offer and we can't wait to see you at class soon!

We deliver a wide range of creative classes for children and young people. Our classes are all led by our team of professional community art tutors, who are all qualified in the subjects that they teach.

Creativity in the Community

Not only do we deliver our fantastic range of weekly creative classes in Airdrie. We are also busy out and about bringing creativity to our wider community.
Since 2021 we have been delivering our popular Positive Creations Project in schools across North Lanarkshire, teaching hundreds of children and young people all about the power of positivity and using creative arts activities to build self-esteem, learn new ways to express emotions creatively and celebrate what makes them unique.
We have taken part in the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) for the past 4 years, bringing fun filled Art & Drama Adventure Days to children and young people. Learning all about the importance of mental health and wellbeing and how we can help and support each other.
Over the Past 3 years we have worked in partnership with the Essentia Foundation to offer our incredible Easter Film Making Camp, where young people learned all about the film making process, industry and worked together to create their own short films from scratch in just 5 days!
We love coming out and supporting other groups in our community too, delivering one-off workshops, pop-up activities at event days and longer projects over 4-6 weeks. If you are interested in working with us, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us now and let's spread the joy of creativity together!
We are also proud to provide opportunities for our students to show off their hard work and are delighted to invite our community to join us at our Showcase Events throughout the year! Our Summer showcase, Photography exhibitions and Winter Performances are fun, friendly events that bring everyone together to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our talented youngsters.
